The N9 plafform is programmed with Python, and is well-suited for closed-loop discovery applications.

In the example video, color matching is done using an implementation of Bayesian optimization from SciKit-Learn. Candidate samples are prepared using a ratio of red, green, and blue dye from the syringe pumps and carousel before being characterized with a camera. The next sample’s ratio can then be suggested by the optimizer.
